The project area, called a "meteor pit" by the project owners, was used as an excavation site by the cement factory before the existing structure was constructed. The design proposal aims to accept this pit and adapt to the land conditions.
Therefore, the building proposal is designed to root in this pit. Metro, high-speed train, and other public transportation stops connected to Kemalpaşa Street have become the main focus of the new layouts. Still, the current project's lower ground level and the bus entrances are to be preserved. The building expands into a large part of the lot, but wide openings are created in certain areas to allow spaciousness. Public transportation networks, terminals, and accommodation units designed at and above the ground level are in relation to the city, while the spaces for buses and their offices are under the urban fabric creating a separation.
The terminal building with a square layout is located in the center to serve the platforms from an equal distance. Passengers are offered a green courtyard with trees within the building, and this ample space provides a feeling of lightness and spaciousness. This effect starts from the center and then spreads to the outer parts of the building.
